The Lore. Buckle UP!

Spawn point

Our story starts long before we were born. Back to when our grandparents in China ran a neighborhood restaurant that everybody in the village loved.

Though we never got to see or taste it, we grew up hearing stories about the busy kitchen, the loyal customers, and the delicious food that made the restaurant special. (Our parents swear that Grandpa invented fried wonton) It was in that cozy family business that both our moms worked as cooks for a big portion of their lives. So even after the restaurant closed, they carried those skills into our home.

A Tiny Time Skip

Fast forward to Beomhan and Sai. We grew up in a home where food was always something special. Our parents used the recipes and techniques they learned from their restaurant to cook amazing meals for us each and every night. These dishes were full of the flavors/traditions of our heritage, and they taught us to appreciate good food from a young age. But despite growing up in a family of culinary roots, our parents were unable to pass down their skills in cooking. As is evident in Beomhan's many cooking lives…

We did, however, inherit a passion for experiencing good food and new tastes. So growing up, we loved tagging along to Asian supermarkets with our parents. Once there, we’d make deals to buy tasty snacks in exchange for promises of doing household chores. These snacks that we’d find in the Asian supermarkets became a huge part of our childhood. We loved trying new flavors together and then planning what to get next time with our chore credits.

Training Arc - Far from Home

Some time ago, Beomhan spent a few years in Korea as a your favorite K-Pop trainee. During that time, he was on a strict diet and meal plan. But once everyone went to sleep, he'd sneak out to the local 24h convenience store. This happened often.

It was there in the Korean convenience store that he stumbled upon a special flavor of Doritos that he'd never tasted before and was clearly not available back home. He immediately coined it as his favorite flavor of chips ever. And knowing how much the other loved trying new snacks, he decided to bring a bag home.

Deliver the payload...?

However, due to a combination of:

● getting hungry

● only bringing the one bag

● the snack being absolutely delicious

He ended up eating nearly all of t-*AHEM* half the contents before landing.

When we finally shared what was left, we both agreed—it was incredible. But we were disappointed to realize that this amazing flavor wasn’t available in the States.

It's Snackin' Time

That was when the idea for Tiger Snack Box was born. We realized that there were probably tons of other fantastic, flavorful snacks from around the world that people were missing out on. We needed a way to share the excitement of discovering new, delicious snacks from Asia and beyond with people who love snacking as much as we do.

For us, this is about more than just snacks— we wish to share our love for discovering new flavors and bring the best of what we find to you. Every snack that we pack in our snack box is something we’ve personally tasted and truly enjoyed.

Join us and we'll explore the world of snacks together, one bite at a time!
